The Computerized Accounting program provides students with the background needed for such accounting functions as accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll. Students receive intensive training with popular accounting software and also become proficient with the most widely used spreadsheet, database, graphics, and word processing software.

Principles of Accounting I Includes recording and reporting functions, adjusting and closing entries, working papers, and the preparation of financial statements.
Principles of Accounting II The partnership and corporate form of a business organization are covered including formation, capital stock, distribution of earnings, debt, and investments.
Principles of Accounting III The use of accounting information for management planning and control in operational and capital budget preparation and in evaluating cost behavior in manufacturing and service sectors is introduced. Includes statement of cash flow and impact of taxes on business decisions.
Computerized Accounting Students use a major accounting software package such as Peachtree or QuickBooks to input data into books of original entry; maintain accounts receivable and payable, general ledger, payroll, and charts of account; interface with general ledger; and generate financial statements. Course includes working with a major spreadsheet application to analyze financial and accounting information and to generate and analyze reports produced from this data.
Spreadsheets and Database Applications Using such software as Excel and Access, students learn the basic and intermediate functions of spreadsheets as well as the fundamentals of database management.
Business Grpahics and Software Integration Students learn to prepare business presentations using a software package, such as Microsoft PowerPoint and to effectively integrate graphics, spreadsheets, word processing, and database management applications.
